New Beginnings.

Hi babes!

Here to share a hair product today! :)
I always get questions on how i "curl in" my hair, but i'm actually a noob.
LOL. Not kidding, cos i just curl in using my straightener.

So when Hair Stylers Asia contacted me and asked if i was interested to review their Babyliss Big Hair Curler, i jumped at the chance!
I got the 42mm version! Was really excited to try it out after hearing so many raves about it!

This curler also doubles up as a hair dryer, so it's like a 2 in 1 thing. :)
Those "holes" you see is where the hot air come out from!
The brush is really soft too, and it kinda helps brush your hair at the same time, giving it shine like salon finish.

Here's where you control the heat.
The hotter, the faster you get your curls, like other hair equipments. But i don't really want to ruin my already not so healthy hair, so i just use the minimal. :)

Just above the pink control, you'll see two other tabs.
One spins inwards, and the other outwards.
There's where you press and the rotating barrel will start spinning to curl your hair!
Leave it spinning for about 8-10s, release and viola!

Here's my hair and look after i used it for the 2nd time.
Frankly, it isn't that easy to use on the 1st try. Though i did view the video HERE, executing it out myself isn't that simple. My hair got tangled and was stuck by the rotating barrel, and i got frustrated, hahaha.
But once you get the hang of it, it gets really easy!
You can see how the ends are curled inwards, and how smooth looking they are.
It really looks like i just walked out of the salon.

I have been using it almost every other day and you can actually see there are more curls and volume here. :)

One of the tricks i've learnt is not to fully dry your hair.
It works best on slightly damp hair, so leave it 10-20% damp when using.
Another thing is by applying some hair styling products before you use it will help you achieve the curls quicker too. I tried curling without any products and i achieved the curls too, just that it didn't look volumized enough.

Most salons need 15-20 mins to dry and curl your hair after every treatment, but this look can be achieved in 1/2 the time needed, in the comfort of your home, and that's what i love about it. :)

If you're interested to get one, you'll be glad to know there's a $15 discount for my readers!
Enter my name <Brianna> at checkout to enjoy this! :)

Went to my favorite salon last weekend to get my hair done for CNY!
And i walked like feeling like i won a million bucks. :p
The roots were growing out and it was so unsightly, so i was really glad they had a makeover!

Fiona, my stylist suggested copper brown for the base to brighten up my look.
And since i've been doing funky colors for the past few months, i did red highlights this round! :)

Freshly taken after i left the salon! :)))

Loving every bit of it i couldn't stop snapping photos. :p

Sparkle.

I'm sorry if i have been missing, but i just haven't had the heart to take any otds. :'(
Braces are making me look ugly and i don't like how i look like in camera, well most of the time.
So here's my headless otds, haha.

All upcoming pieces!
Top: TCL Keepsake Embellished Swing Top in White
Skirt: TCL Georgia Asymmetrical Skirt in Cobalt
Jacket: TCL Kingston Blazer in White

I've been in more skirts this year than i ever did in my entire 27 years of life.
#notjoking

I never adored wearing skirts cos i don't have hot or sexy legs, and they kinda make me look even skinnier than i already am. So over the years, in my attempt to hide these flaws, i just skipped wearing skirts all together, hur.
But somewhere along the way, i realized hey, i could make do with some kinds of skirts and not abstain from all. Kept this Zara inspired asymmetrical piece just because it flatters my look. :p

Kingston Blazer is a re-make of our previous sold out Merry Blazer!
I know how awesome the cut it hence we remade it in newer colors.
The fabric is also slightly different cos the previous one didn't have much color choices, but the fit is exactly the same. Kept the white cos i don't own many white pieces yet. I personally like the lilac piece too which comes with peach lining, really sweet looking, but no way i can carry it off, haha.
Keepsake Embellished Swing Top features beaded embellished details.
In silver beaded details, I can't stress how gorgeous it is in real life, and no my photo does not do any justice to it AT ALL.
#notjokingagain
Everyone needs to own one embellished piece to know how such details add that instant sparkle to your outfits. The top also comes with a nice swing cut which hides the tummy well, something i personally like!

Ending off this post with my shoes stash this month!
Been into this silvery fetish, probably cos it's Christmas soon i guess!
Loafers from C&K, Trechelle Loafers from TCL, Upcoming (tomorrow) Distressed Metallic Trainers Wedge from TCL.

Natalie Preppy Top

"Whoever said money can't buy happiness simply didn't know where to go shopping."
-- Bo Derek

Outfit from a couple weeks back! :)
Top: Natalie Preppy Top, available on backorders on TCL
Shoes: H&M

I've been meaning to find that perfect white shirt so as to layer them with my knits, but i just couldn't seem to find the right one. So there i was at our suppliers when i spotted this indigo looking knit. Asked her where she got the white shirt from, and it was then that i found out it's attached! What a sweet surprise! :p It kills two birds with one stone cos;
1. It isn't that warm as it's a one piece.
2. I can get the look i want without having to do any layering!

It's up on backorders now so don't miss it! :)

My current favorite accessories, and my filled up Pandora for those who asked! (:

Silver Bracelet: H&M

The Oxford Boots.

"Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world."
–– Marilyn Monroe

I have recently be on a shoes craze! Writing about this makes me wonder if i should do a dedicated post to my new shoes, i have at least 10 new pairs it isn't hard to get it done! :p
I couldn't be any happier when my supplier managed to source for what i've been looking for! :) I'm super glad to be sharing these with you TCL supporters cos i'm pretty sure you girls will love them as much as i do! :)

Sharing of those i found online.
(Click on images to be directed to source)
£140.00

£75

$346.75

Of course, i didn't end up with these purchases cos of the hefty price tag which came along. I've been on the lookout for such ankle boots ever since i returned from Europe. I got myself a pair there and found it so comfy and easy to match i thought everyone needs to own at least a pair! Make that two or more, cos one simply isn't enough. :p

You might have known i've just returned from Hong Kong. I've been travelling so much this year, seen and learnt so much but that's probably the last leisure trip of the year. Enough of play, I'm back at work, gonna focus for our upcoming busy period ahead!

Put together my outfits for this trip with this upcoming Oxford Ankle Boots! :)
Top: Plaids Shirt, upcoming on TCL
Jacket: Denim Jacket, upcoming on TCL
Shoes: Oxford Ankle Boots, upcoming on TCL tomorrow

One thing i love about boots is how they instantly dresses up the entire look.
You can see how i'm wearing just day to day staple pieces, but with a pair of boots, the overall look changes! You don't look so sloppy or too casual, if you get what i mean.

This pair comes in brown or black. I kept the brown only because i've too many blacks and this brown comes in a really lovely shade! :) It isn't too hard to match with outfits too!

The rest of the sneaks are available on Facebook now!
I kept more than just one pair, so i'm hoping you girls love this shoes/bags collection we've put together! :)

We'll see you tomorrow at 830pm! :)

Love,
Bree

How To Wear The Leather Jacket.

In this post, i will be showing mainly photos of how i styled the upcoming TCL Leather Biker Jacket! :)

If you follow me close enough, you'll know i've always been a fan of outer pieces. When i first set my eyes on the original version of this at Zara, i was so close to getting it! But the hefty price tag of $299 held me back. Thank god i made that decision cos we now have our version at less than a fraction of that cost! :p

It took us quite a long while to get this manufactured due to the nitty gritty details such as the quilted details at the back and those zips on the front. Most suppliers did not or were not willing to manufacture for us mainly cos of these. With the quantity we needed, they felt it was too much work and not worth their time as well. Comparing SG customers to overseas ones like China, HK and even european countries, SG is actually one of the smallest country in the manufacturing industry. We persisted and continued to search for suppliers who were willing to get it done for us, and viola, this is what we have got now! :)) It has been 6 months since i first set my eyes on this, but hey i'm still loving it every single bit of it!

Top: Plaids Shirt, upcoming on TCL
Boots: H&M

Brought this along during my recent trip to Europe. The faux leather fabric blocks out the wind, and it has been extremely handy in keeping me warm! Black is also a color that goes well with practically any other colors, hence it was easy for me to layer it with my tops. :)

Spot those details below.
They may seem minute but these details are what makes this jacket stand out in my opinion.
Threaded quilted details at the back and on collars.
Zipped details for that tough biker rock look.

The faux leather fabric used is of extreme high grade. Trust me on that, really.
I've came across leatherette jackets that feel light and thin; those will not last long nor will they keep you warm.

Top: Houndstooth Knit Pullover, Zara
Boots: H&M

Here at Borough Market when in London!

Top: Olive Knit Pullover, H&M
Pants: Denim Blue Jeans, Zara
Boots: H&M

If you're travelling to colder countries, you can use it as an outer piece with your knits. Anything above 12 degrees will be good in my opinion. Anything lower, do wear proper winter coats! I've also worn it in Singapore (more photos in a couple posts below) and it isn't that warm since we're not out all day! Especially when it's the monsoon season now, there's no better reason for us to get one!

This premium jacket comes in black or pink and is available in Xs - Xl, so i'm sure there's a size for everyone. For reference, i'm a Uk and wears size Xs! :) I kept both colors, but only brought the black to the trip due to baggage constraints and in all honesty, black is the easier color to go with most tops. One of the main thing i had to lookout while packing for the trip was jackets which will go well with my tops as a layering layer; hence this blackie came along with me! :)

The pink is extremely fashionable, cute and quirky in my opinion!
It exudes that fun factor so well. Though it may not be as easy to pair with as compared to the black, i've thought of many ways to style it too! It's a loud color on it's own, so you can pair it with basic colors like white or black! If not, go all out; loud x loud.
Try cobalt or lime, i think they work pretty well!
If you'd like a softer and girly look, try pastel shades.
I'm thinking soft lilac, pastel mint, pastel blue or even pastel yellow.

Have fun styling them!! :)
I hope this post helps and gives you more idea on styling it!
Sneaks are up on Facebook already, so hop by for previews!
Till then, get yours at 830pm 12/11, wokayyy!

Heh thanks Jiahui if you're reading this!

This illustration is omg cute max, haha.
As i've been away, Bert has been handling TCL and i saw it on instagram just like you! And my first thought was, seriously so cuteeee!
It features our upcoming items in the launch, can you put the names to them?
Heh, i wonder how i will look like if i get him to do my look of the day. :p
