OTD x FOOD

It was a rainy week last week and my knits came out to play!
I knew i had to keep this the moment i saw it! :)
Daises x Knit.
Who can resist?

Coming up in tomorrow's launch! (:

Dinner with TCL Girls
Had a dinner date with Janelle and XM last week as well! :)
Because XM was on stand by, we headed nearby for dins, and we ended up at Ichiban. We're all Jap food lovers i guess. Every meet up we end up at a Jap restaurant, hurhur.
We had the premium meals this round, and coincidentally all our picks were in the same page! :D

Wearing Hearts Aloud Knit Top here! (:

We were busy catching up hence only close up of my food. :p

Headed to my favorite Starbucks after dins for more catch up.
I just did a count and i've had 5 cups of SB just last week alone. -.-

The boyfriend came to pick me up and he joined us for a bit!

A short meet up but a much needed one.
Had so much updates in that short 4 hours! <3

<3

Dinner at Poulet
I've heard so much about this place but didn't bother trying it out, maybe cos it's just chicken to me. We were wandering about in Vivo for dinner last Friday and thought, why not just give it a try! :)
It was probably one of the better dinners we've had in a while!

We had an early dinner hence it wasn't very crowded yet.
Staff were attentive (look at how many staff there were at 530pm!) and food was served promptly!

For appetizer, we shared the Sautéed Mushrooms with Poached Egg.
This was $8.90 if i remember right!
The mushrooms were soft and flavorful, they were awesome.
And the egg was just heavenly!

JUST LOOK AT THIS.

For the mains, I had the Braised Lamb Shank and the boyfriend had their signature roasted chicken! :) Both the mains were about $15. I loved everything about my dish. The meat was so soft and tender i'd no problems chewing/slicing it at all!

We ended our meal with an apple pie with ice cream and a tiramisu!
I'm a fan of tiramisu so it was a must order for me!
At just $7.90, i think, or mayb $8.90, i got a JAR of tiramisu.
Super worth it okayyyy.
I wasn't expecting a lot since it's so cheap, but it was so niceeee!

When we left at about 630pm, it was almost full!
They have a list of outlets so check them here if you're keen! (:

Guess what? We ended our night at Starbucks again. :p

Outfit that day.
Top: Denim Shirt from Taiwan
Bottom: Helix Leatherette Skorts in Black, coming up on TCL tomorrow
Shoes: Steve Madden

The skorts is a little loose for me, so i chose an outer piece to hide the flaw! :p
With the outer piece, you can't really tell it's loose and i guess this look is also something different! (:

Dinner at Tsukado Nojo
Was feeling all moody last Sunday cos of an infected eye, and probably cos of the rain which made me sleepy. Asked the boyfriend to drive us down to PS to satisfy my food craving and it was an instant mood lifter when he said OKAY! :D Was craving for Tsukado Nojo, also known as Amazing Beauty Pot!

Us in slackers outfits, haha.
I lost my spects, i know it sounds wth, but yes i really did.
#bimbomoment
So i was actually walking without being able to see anything cos this is a pair of fake spects, used to cover my red eye and horrible eye bags. :(

I was introduced to this place just last week by another group of girlfriends, in fact i was there just that same week too. It's too awesome i'd to head back that same week. :p

They have a unique loyalty programme! On your first visit, you'll be given your name card, with "Assistant Manager" rank. As you return, your restaurant rank increases! At the 2nd visit, i was "promoted" to manager! HOW COOL.

Okay, so when my gf sent me this telling me she's having super yums dinner, i was like, what is thisss? It looks like beancurd? Nope, you're wrong. It's their main selling point, collagen!

Once heated up, the beancurd looking jelly will melt and that becomes your soup base! :) They have already included chicken in there, trust me, the soup is FREAKING AWESOME. We were told they aren't ordinary chicken. Basically they are organic chickens, meaning they have no preservatives at all!

Small tea cups are given to you to taste the soup before the rest of the ingredients go in!

They rest of the ingredients were served in this wooden looking tray.
Portion may not be large, or comparable to free flow steamboat, but everything is organic and more importantly fresh!

For first timers, a staff will do the cooking for you, explaining what each ingredient is and what is it good for. I was seriously amazed. It was my 2nd visit anyway but i didn't want to do the cooking, and she very kindly offered to do it! (:

I call this "Goodness in a Pot!"
There isn't an ounce of guilt eating this cos i know everything is organic, and just simply healthy!

There's also 3 types of noodles to choose from.
Though the food may not look much, it's quite filling for a meal!

Desserts are also included.
Not huge, but every plate is different as they are all hand drawn.
And i like how it's served! :)
Don't they just put a smile to you face?

Tsukado Nojo is known to be always busy, you'll always see a queue outside. But i was there at 845pm, which is also their last order timing, so it was pretty quiet! (:

Their main entrance.

And their side entrance.

Back to the food, i really like the flavor and their impeccable service.
You hardly get this kind of service in other restaurants so that really wow-ed me. For the soup base, it may be too thick for some, but i personally find it really good and i wasn't even thirsty after the meal, so you know no MSG is added! Plus collagen is good for us ladies! :D

During peak hours diners are given 1.5 hours to complete the meal. It sounds ridiculous but it's probably due to the space constraint i guess. 1.5 hours is more than enough to finish your meal though! Do expect queues too, especially during peak hours. I'm not sure if they take reservations, but i think they do! So best to call to check before heading down! :)
