Just before i left for Taipei, i headed down for my monthly treatment! :)
My hair was getting a little too dry and brittle for my liking, so i skipped the coloring and just had treatment done!

I have been doing the Armino Privy treatment for the past few visits, which gives me soft and silky tresses. Fiona suggested the Redken treatment for strengthening this time! Redken treatments focuses more on the strengthening of your hair, and at the same time leaves it smooth and nourished! Exactly what i needed.

I'm sure you girls have heard about this treatment.
Basically it's a cocktail treatment where the stylist will mix a cocktail tailored for your hair's needs! :)
You can see how smooth and shiny my hair is! :)

The boyfriend is also now a Salon Vim convert not only because i'm sponsored, but because he's tried it and agrees how professional they are! :) His haircuts are done by Fiona too and it costs about $35 each time, so if your boyfriend needs a hair cut, you know where to bring him! (:

Love visiting Salon Vim cos i leave with such pretty hair! <3

Headed to Taipei the next day after the treatment and here's some hair photos to share.
You can see the ends are smooth and no longer friizzzzyy!

Dinner at Tampopo
Melody brought us to Tampopo for some ramen since we haven't tried it before! It's one of her favorites to go for ramen so i was looking forward to dins! :)
Noodles were springy, broth was delightful which had quite an authentic flavor.
And the cha-siew was was soft and tender!
The boyfriend had Tonkatsu Ramen and the chicken was crisp on the outside, tender on the inside.
I'm not exactly a ramen fan but if you're, i'd say go check out this place!

After dinner, we headed to Au Chocolat at MBS for some desserts! :)
One of the reasons for choosing MBS was also for some shopping!
Zara is now opened there and it's really huge!
Though it's quite hot due to the numerous spotlights used, i think you can find OOS items in town over at this outlet! :) The crowd there is also much lesser!

I've always loved the desserts here though they can be a little too sweet.
But sweets bring away unhappiness and what nots, so it's still a good thing! :))
We ordered crepes to share and their signature frozen hot chocolate to share.
The Au Cholat Crepe came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, drizzled with their signature chocolate fudge sauce and strawberries! In comparison to Go Nuts With Salted Caramel, i preferred the latter much more! Mainly cos the caramel sauced went so well with the ice cream, nuts and crepe!
The cold chocolate drink was rich in flavor but it's so huge the 3 of us couldn't even finish it!

I found their menu online, so if you're keen, this should help! :)

L'etoile Cafe
Side track cos i had my eyelash extensions touched up.
For those who've wondered why i do look slightly different, i'd eyelash extensions done at Carragheen. This isn't a sponsored post by the way, but i really do feel they are good! Prices can be on the steep side, but i've heard stories on how the eyes have a burning sensation, or how one can get infection from eyelash extensions from the cheaper salons, so i chose Carragheen!
With these extension done, i no longer line my upper lids, yet my eyes don't look that sleepy! :)

Brunch at L'etoile Cafe was one of the worst ever.
I felt so cheated having brunch here, it's like i woke up early for nothing. :(

The boyfriend's Big Breakfast Set and my Eggs Benedict were both disappointments.
Gordon Ramsay once said that if you're a good chef, you'll know how to cook an egg omelette as it's one of the most basic cooking technics. But i honestly think i can cook a better egg omelette than this. The redemption was the sautéed mushrooms passed the mark.

The Eggs Benedict were horrrrrible.
The hollandaise sauce was so watery, tasteless and bland. The poach eggs had a stale stench.
You know how eggs benny look nice on photos and i've always thought how can you go wrong with it? And even if you do, like how wrong can it be?
This was my answer. -.-

FYI, i felt uneasy for the next 3 days after brunch here.
Not kidding.
I visited the toilet a donkey times.

If you're still keen on checking on this place, do google for the address.
I don't even want to bother to check and type them out here, haha.

Ichiban
One of our favorites to go for Jap food!
They are everywhere so it isn't hard to find them! (:

BTS shoot at Bliss House Restaurant
This is a super backdated post, i know it should have been up earlier, but series II of this lookbook will be launched next week, so better late than never!

Location was sponsored by Bliss House and it's such a pretty and heavenly place! :))
Super loving the whites and greens and florals used!
The guest of honor or so i say! :D
Rebs is back finally and we booked her even before she returned!
She's back even prettier, don't you agree?

Our first shoot with 3 models and i'm sure everyone enjoyed it!

Was snapping a photo with Rebs while Cons and Franc were still at it.

Cons was done and came over to join.

And Franc joined in too when she was done, hahaha.

Starbucks for everyone! <3

Bert was away during this shoot so Janelle came along to help! (:

Janelle was pretty amazed by how these shots were taken.
She was like "oh so this is how they walk ah?"
Hahaha. The models basically walk up and down, up and down, while the photog snaps away.
Until the photog thinks there are enough shots, the models can stop walking!

We had dinner there after the shoot! (:
A pity the rest had to leave as they had appointments after that.
We read reviews that food wasn't awesome, but i found it otherwise and enjoyed my dinner!
Perhaps it was due to the company! :)

The calamari was so good it was snapped up within minutes!

They were having a 1 for 1 main course promo during our visit, so it was quite worth it!
I'm not sure if promo is still on, but i think it ends end Sept! :)

Special thanks to Bliss House for the location! :)

Opens daily: 12pm - 11pm

We wanted another place for desserts but we're all no food experts.
So i texted my trusty food GPS Melody and off we went! :)
Sometimes i feel so lucky to have met these angels, helping me whenever i need help!

We went on an "excursion" like tourists, hurhurhur.
Melody suggest Laurent Cafe which is located at Roberston Quay.
To get there by feet, we trusted google maps which is a short walk away and since Rebs relied heavily on maps, off we went!

But horror of all horror, we followed the map but it didn't lead us to where we wanted to head to, and we walked for a good 30-45 mins before arriving. It was a good walk though, with small talks and laughters! (:

FINALLY ARRIVEDDD!!!
I left to check out the cakes with Janelle and look what i found in my camera.
But i'm not complaining.
Pretty girlsssss!

Warm chocolate cake.

"Pleasure."
The name of this slice of cake! (:

Lemon soufflé was so freaking good!
It was the best that night and everyone agreeed!
The lemon flavor wasn't too overwhelming or sour and in fact, it left a sweet after taste.

The place is a little small and crowd starting streaming in after 10pm.
The staffs there aren't too helpful or willing to serve. Even when Janelle and myself were standing right in front of them, even with eye contact, they just continued with their talking. Or perhaps we're Asians hence the treatment, i don't know.

Price was also on the steep side but i felt it's worthy to try it out at least once. :)

Laurent Cafe & Chocolate Bar
80 Mohamed Sultan Road #01-11
The Pier @ Robertson
(I can't find the correct info on the opening hours, so i'd suggest making a call before heading down!)

Moving on to OTDs now! :))
Brought this light weight piece to Taipei and i was telling Beixin how i freaked out when i saw her OTD! It was the exact same way i wanted to style mine, so i switched the white to the blue piece instead! Haha. I paired it with a dotted shorts for some fun and quirkiness, but it goes well with lace/crochet shorts if you're going for the dainty and feminine look! :)

Top: TCL Bliss Flutter Top, available on backorders now.
(M size available via instocks)
Shorts: Polka Dotted Shorts
Shoes: New Balance

I prepared this piece for the trip too as typhoons were suspected.
Came in handy cos it was raining non stop during my trip there. :(

Outer piece: Sonnet Parka in Khaki
Shoes: New Balance

Top: Upcoming Dotted Blouse
Jeans: Topshop
Heels: Madam Flamingo
Central World, Bangkok.
Bag: Chanel Vintage
Sunnies: Rayban

I'm loving this dotted blouse for the loose and comfortable fit! :)
Changed my heels to these open toes one instead as i'd just done a new set of nails, hehe. The blouse is also available in white base and black dots!
Anyway for those who have been asking, the mono heels featured are from Central World at BKK, inside this department store called Zen. Just look for the ladies shoes section and look for the brand "Madam Flamingo." She's a Thai designer! (:

Found some old photos which i haven't posted! :)
Can you tell what we were doing? Hahahha.
I'm always doing "young" things with the younger Bert.
Blazer: TCL Tropical Avenue Blazer

Top: Upcoming cable knit top, which i've worn previously under this post here!
The year end season is almost here and i'm SO GLAD.
Cos it means my favorite knits will be available everywhere soon and i can wear bring them out to playyyy! Hehhee.
Knit top, heels and bag will all be launched next week!
Can i add on how comfy the heels are? Zero blisters even on my first wear!
Available in black or white.

Outfit for RWS food affair yesterday! :)
It's one of my favorite outfits ever!
Blazer: TCL Merry Floral Blazer (Upcoming)
Shorts: TCL Crochet Trimming Denim Shorts (Upcoming)
Top: TCL Tiered Spag Top (Upcoming in Oct)
Shoes: New Balance

This shorts featured is all thanks to our customer Jieying!
She had sent us an email requesting for this design to be manufactured as it suited TCL style, and of cos because she loved it! (: It's pretty similar to her photo and it took a while for us to perfect this shorts because of the wash. Glad it's finally gonna be launched soon after months!
Available in XS to XL! (:

The blazer will be available in pastel mint as well, which i've worn HERE!
I kept the mint one first as i don't own any in that color, but the comfort level and fit is 10/10 and i just had to keep both colors! :) I've a few FAQ on this so i'm just gonna answer them all here!

It's made of cotton polyester blend with a slight structured look, light padded on shoulders, inner lined with floral satin fabric. It's not as thick as most blazers and definitely suitable for the weather here. Price will only be confirmed tomorrow/tuesday as i do not have the price list with me now, but it's $34-$36. Pricing is a little high i know, but trust me, it's worth your penny as it's really really a must have! The cost was already higher than our usual but i went ahead with the manufacturing cos of the fabric, fit, look and everything i love, haha.
It will be available in Xs - L or XL, gotta confirm on the largest size tomorrow as well!

I'm finally done with this post, and omg i spent more than 3 hours on it.
Hope you've enjoyed this lengthy post and informative enough for ya'll!
I'm off to prep for dinner and i can't wait for my DRX appointment tomorrow!

Have a blessed remaining Sunday!

PS: I'm intending to take up photography/ editing classes. Anyone has any recommendations? Please drop me an email! Thanks!
