It's Monday again tomorrowww!
Why does the weekend always pass so fast? :(
I don't even feel recharged despite the long weekend, still so terribly tired!
Shall just look forward to the coming weekend then!
Had another dinner with the team before the night we left for Bkk! :)
We were so looking forward to the much needed break so the atmosphere in the office was already full of energy, hahaha. Did our work fast so we can have dins together! :)
I love impromptu meet ups, hehe.
Because we needed to get grass for the themed shoot, we headed to SSC since all of them stay at Yishun! Dinner was at Kungfu Paradise! :)
There's another outlet at JCube btw! :)
Having dins with them makes me feel youngggg.
Hahahaha, seriously i'm surrounded by young people everyday it's hard not to remind myself of my age. *pouts*
The BF said he will have the tomyum soup since he wasn't joining us in BKK, classic reason, hurhur.
It tasted nice surprisingly!
And we were supposed to order some french toast but we ordered the wrong one.
This comes with peanut butter if i remember right, and the taste was bleah, weird.
My chicken and shrimps curry rice! :)
NICE.
Janelle's curry chicken, which was quite nice too!
The gravy was quite thick and i remember her saying it's spicy, haha.
Steph's pork chop.
And Bert's maggi mee.
It always turns out that erm, she chooses the most horrible tasting dish at our team dinners, hahaha.
The prawn paste chicken wings which wasn't well accepted too.
Tee-ra-mee-su.
Not the best i've had but enough to satisfy my sweet tooth. :p
The lovely pixies in TCL pieces! :)
Janelle came back to help us during her 2 weeks break before her intern started
and she made the effort to dress up in TCL almost every other day, how not to love her, right?
To more dinners ahead!
OKAYYY.
I'm finally blogging about BKK!
So sorry for the long delay, especially those who've asked me about it!

DAY ONE.
Our flight was at 715AM!
And guess what, i couldn't sleep the night before at all.
Janelle and Bert were pretty amazed i could still put on my contact lenses, haha.
Travel companions. <3
So many of you have asked me about this pair!
It's not a TCL item, but i'm considering sending it in for manufacturing! :)
I don't usually take ticket stub shots but i did so anyway, since i was intending to blog about the trip! :)
Oh ya, we went on a Thursday and our return flight was on a Sunday.
The reason why i book all my BKK trips from Thurs - Sunday is so you can have both weekends there, to explore the weekend markets! :) Most of their popular markets usually open on weekends only and you don't wanna miss them! :) Also, try to book the earliest flight there and latest flight back, this helps to maximize your time there! (:
For morning flights like ours at 7ish in the morning, you'll usually reach your hotel by 9/10 ish? Not to worry if a room is not available yet. You can always leave your luggages with them and come back at a later time when the room is ready! :)
There's something magical when you're 35,000 feet above.
The pretty sight of clouds just calm my heart.
Once we reached the airport, we went to get their data sim card!
If you're someone who needs/wants to have internet service while you're there, once you walk out of immigration you'll see rows of stores from the different telcos selling them! :)
I can't remember which telco i got mine from, but it was the cheaper one.
I paid 299 baht, that's about 12 sgd, which comes with unlimited data use for a week, and 100 baht for calls and messages! More than enough for a tourist! :p
Once you insert the sim, when you launch whatsapp, you'll be asked if you would like to register the new number. Just click no, and your whatsapp will still be registered to your local number, and you can chat like normal! :) If you don't really need the data, you can do what we did! Bert and Janelle both didn't get the card, and whenever they needed it, i'll just switch on my hot spot and they can tap onto the same network for connectivity. The wonders of technology! :)
From the airport, you can get to your hotel via taxi or train.
A taxi ride typically costs about 500 baht or so to your hotel at the Pratunam area.
Just make sure you get a metered taxi! (:
We took the train since it was still mega early, also to let Janelle have a taste of being a tourist, hahaha. It was her first trip to BKK btw! :)
At the airport, just lookout for this banner.
It isn't that hard to spot. The train station is at B1! :)
Slave to technology.
Once you have data, your fingers will be on the screen, hurhur.
Janelle wore the new color for our Santiano Top in case you're wondering why it looks familiar! :)
Once you reach B1, just turn right and follow this sign.
And when you see this, you know you're on the right path! :)
Their fare table reminds me of secondary school days maths, don't ask me why.
Oh ya, you may want to do a check on google if you're planning to take the train. Find out the nearest stop to your hotel! :) For hotels in Pratunam area like the more common ones; Grand Diamond, Budacco, Citin, Novotel, Baiyoke and Amari, you can take the train to Ratchathewi station. From there, you can choose to take a 15 mins walk (if you know how to), or change to taxi! :)
If you're going there for the 1st time, i'd advise you to just take a cab from there to avoid getting lost.
Either way, it will still be cheaper than a direct taxi ride from the airport.
The taxi ride from the station to the hotel shouldn't be more than 100 baht, assuming you don't get a metered one.
The train ride from the Airport station to Ratchathewi is quite a short one, about max 30 minutes?
We stayed at Centre Point Petchburi this trip.
I've personally stayed there previously but wasn't planning to return back, if it wasn't for the fact that we've 3 pax and it was on discount. It really didnt leave much of an impression.
My favorite hotel Buddaco was fully booked on our travel dates, what luck :(
And Grand Diamond, Citin and Amari didn't allow additional beds and we didn't want to book 2 rooms and sleep separately. So that was the only reason why we booked Centre Point.
You can book your hotels from sites like Asia Rooms or Agoda. There are also customers review of the rooms, location and service, so you can also use that to decide if you wanna book a particular hotel! :)
I havent tried Asia Rooms yet, only used Agoda since i've have nothing but awesome service from them since the very 1st time i used them donkey years back. :) Those hotels mentioned above are the more popular ones which Singaporeans usually stay at, in case you're wondering!
During this trip, we also walked past his new hotel named Glow. It's at a strategic location just opposite Platinum Mall, so it's really convenient. It's new too so that's a real bonus. People who are planning a bkk trip can consider it! ;)
Anyway, photos of the room turned out way more beautifully than the actual state. I didnt even do much editing.
Don't be deceived.
The room is pretty decent; clean and free of weird smells, but it's also quite old and can be quite dim.
When I was making the booking, I was thinking if they had undergone any renovations, cos it didnt look like what was on the photos during the last stay. Booked it anyway cos that was the only hotel i knew that allowed an additional bed.
Maybe it's not as old as Baiyoke Sky, but i wouldnt pay the usual price for such a room. I still prefer Budacco anytime! :)
The beds were comfy enough though!
The toilet was clean, but what i couldn't stand was the mildew in between the tiles. :/
There was a small dining area too.
And the dressing area.
The vainpots changed into their contact lenses, washed up and we were ready to conquer day 1!
Was attempting to give Bert curls, which failed, haaha.
Braid works too!
Super love how her purple hair looked so awesome!
First stop was the famous Wanton Mee.
I used to visit BKK fortnightly and the taste soon grew on me overtime.
After so long of not having them, i can understand why people say they are delish!
Bert is always camera ready, something i am not. :x
The legendary bowl of wanton meeee.
Slurps. I can really have a bowl of this now. :(
The noodles were so springyyyy and the char siew was just, yums.
The filling was so fresh, and they were so generous with their wantons!
If i remember right, there were 4-5 wantons! :)
OKAY, REMEMBER THIS!
This is how the store front looks like! (:
It's also known was Saeb x 2 among the locals, but honestly, i haven't seen this sign before despite my numerous visits there. Either i'm blind or it's just not prominent enough. Haha.
Saeb x 2 Wanton Noodles
Soi Phetchaburi 19, Pratunam.
Directions
If you haven't been able to locate this store, or you're going there for the 1st time, the best way to find your way is to locate the bridge outside Platinum Mall. From the mall, cross the bridge. You should see stores selling luggages. Walk straight until you see a dessert store selling crepes (photos below) and just beside this crepe stall is a makeshift watch repair store. Once you see these 2, turn right at the junction. Walk 1-2 mins and you'll see the store on your right! :)
*I just googled for this and apparently it's shifted to Soi 15 wef April this year. But when i went, it was still at the same spot. So just do a check before your trip to see if they really shifted! :)
Headed to Platinum Mall after that! :)
It's just a short walk away.
And here's the dessert store i mentioned! :) You'll pass by it to get to Platinum Mall after your Wanton Mee meal! (:
It's perpetually my MUST HAVE every trip! :)
Their nutella x banana is da bombbbb!
60 baht!
The photo really doesn't do justice to the taste.
Please try it when you're there!
We spent the whole afternoon at Platinum until it closed! :)
(And i didn't take a single photo here.)
Basically, it's a wholesale fashion mall for clothes/ bags/ accessories, but mainly clothes. You can get "wholesale" price with 3 pieces purchased, and they are typically 50-100 baht cheaper per piece when you get them at wholesale price.
There's thousands of stores at Platinum so you can allocate 1/2 the day or even 1 day there! ;)
Photos credit to Google.
Platinum Mall closes quite early at 7/8pm, so be sure to visit there as early as you can!
I don't have the exact address but everyone knows this place, so just ask if you really can't locate it! :)
Headed back to the hotel to drop our shopping loots and headed to Siam Night Market! :)
I didn't forget to pay my favorite sotong store a visit!
And it's still the same aunty! :D
The squid is freaking niceeee~
The squids are mixed with their chili/lemon sauce, whatever you call it.
It's damn spicy but that's what makes it shiokkkk!
Siam Night Market is just outside Siam Station! :)
It's also opposite Siam Paragon and Siam Centre.
They basically sell pretty similar stuffs to Platinum Mall, but if you're lucky you can get spot surprises and good buys! :)

That basically summed up day 1 after a relaxing massage session! :)
Ending this post with the pretty iPhone cases we got along the road!
(They are not very lasting though!)

OTD shots! :)
We're launching tomorrow at 830pm with mostly manufactured and exclusive items, so don't miss them :) So pleased with how the photos turned out too, mega chio! Cant help but feel so satisfied! :)
Went with silver hues that day! :)
TCL Floral Brocade Top in Navy x Sequins Skirt in Silver
Shirts are currently in trend and needless to say florals have always been in trend. So we combined both elements and this was manufactured! (: It's made of chiffon and can be considered sheer for some. I personally fine it okay since it's a fully printed piece! :)
TCL Double Pocket Top in Indigo x TCL Baroque Printed HWS
This top is so basic i'd to keep it in more than 2 colors! :) It's made of quality chiffon polyester and the good this is it's not even sheer though there's no lining! Even for the white, it's not sheer! :) And can i stress how much i love the cut/prints of the shorts? Mega mega loveeee! Like i've always said, i'm not a HWS person, so if i do decide to keep it, it means it's really good! :p
Tomorrow's items will also come in sizes for most of them, so see you there!
