Still Alive.

Hello!
I'm still alive and kicking!
Thought i should make an update (and some noise) to let you readers know! :p

Anyway, i've embarked on a braces journey since Monday if you haven't know!
Only metal brackets and rubber bands were put on but it was still so painful on the 1st few days. Things are better now, at least i don't feel much pain. But THANK GOD i didn't have to do any extractions. I was literally jumping for joy for my orthodontist told me he will put that off and see how the teeth shifts after 3 months. :D

I'm kinda dreading this Monday cos i'm going for another visit and more things will be done and added, so yeah, let's see how things go! Gonna embrace it with a positive mindset!

To those who have asked me why do it when i've straight teeth?
For one, i do not have straight teeth. I've a protruding and jutting front tooth in fact :(
It's quite bad that i can even slot my fingernail into the gap.
And two, i've a slanted jawline and i'm extremely conscious of how i look like in photos. What i mean is, i am getting more and more conscious of how i look now. :( Of cos, i angle my poses in such a way it's less obvious to people, so if you aren't really close to me, you probably wouldn't have noticed unless you've a keen eye for details! Or i simply just do not post unflattering photos of myself, haha.

I've actually considered this entire thing since i was 16 after i completed O's?
I'll have to do an operation a year later to straighten the jawline. The thought of going through the operation scared me deep, and i kinda put that away. The op will have a minimum down time of 2 weeks, and i'll only be able to drink liquid food. Seriously, DRINK LIQUID food. How is this not scary? When i graduated with my diploma, I actually did check with National Dental Centre to find out more and learnt that it will get even more obvious over the years. But the cost was too high to handle then, coupled with all the fear, i put that thought away again. Ten years later, it's true. :( It has gotten so bad i'm mega conscious how i look like in photos. I couldn't take it, and finally plucked up the courage to "let's whack it man!" It took just 2 weeks, HAHA.
So here i am, finally with braces! :p

To the lovely girls who have dropped me personal emails, thank you!
I will be replying your mails very soon.
And i'm really thankful to have you kind angels dropping notes of your personal experience and sharing these stuffs with me. Thank you and thank you!

I may not have a lot of knowledge and experience to share since it's been only a week, but if you've any questions, you're welcomed to drop me an email! :)

Till then, i'm gonna have a carefree weekend!
Have a blessed one too! :)

Love,
Bree

Outfit from a couple weeks back! :)
Top: Natalie Preppy Top, available on backorders on TCL
Shoes: H&M

I've been meaning to find that perfect white shirt so as to layer them with my knits, but i just couldn't seem to find the right one. So there i was at our suppliers when i spotted this indigo looking knit. Asked her where she got the white shirt from, and it was then that i found out it's attached! What a sweet surprise! :p It kills two birds with one stone cos;
1. It isn't that warm as it's a one piece.
2. I can get the look i want without having to do any layering!

It's up on backorders now so don't miss it! :)

My current favorite accessories, and my filled up Pandora for those who asked! (:

The Oxford Boots.

"Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world."
–– Marilyn Monroe

I have recently be on a shoes craze! Writing about this makes me wonder if i should do a dedicated post to my new shoes, i have at least 10 new pairs it isn't hard to get it done! :p
I couldn't be any happier when my supplier managed to source for what i've been looking for! :) I'm super glad to be sharing these with you TCL supporters cos i'm pretty sure you girls will love them as much as i do! :)

Sharing of those i found online.

$346.75

Of course, i didn't end up with these purchases cos of the hefty price tag which came along. I've been on the lookout for such ankle boots ever since i returned from Europe. I got myself a pair there and found it so comfy and easy to match i thought everyone needs to own at least a pair! Make that two or more, cos one simply isn't enough. :p

You might have known i've just returned from Hong Kong. I've been travelling so much this year, seen and learnt so much but that's probably the last leisure trip of the year. Enough of play, I'm back at work, gonna focus for our upcoming busy period ahead!

Put together my outfits for this trip with this upcoming Oxford Ankle Boots! :)
Top: Plaids Shirt, upcoming on TCL
Jacket: Denim Jacket, upcoming on TCL
Shoes: Oxford Ankle Boots, upcoming on TCL tomorrow

One thing i love about boots is how they instantly dresses up the entire look.
You can see how i'm wearing just day to day staple pieces, but with a pair of boots, the overall look changes! You don't look so sloppy or too casual, if you get what i mean.

This pair comes in brown or black. I kept the brown only because i've too many blacks and this brown comes in a really lovely shade! :) It isn't too hard to match with outfits too!

The rest of the sneaks are available on Facebook now!
I kept more than just one pair, so i'm hoping you girls love this shoes/bags collection we've put together! :)

We'll see you tomorrow at 830pm! :)

Love,
Bree

How To Wear The Leather Jacket.

In this post, i will be showing mainly photos of how i styled the upcoming TCL Leather Biker Jacket! :)

If you follow me close enough, you'll know i've always been a fan of outer pieces. When i first set my eyes on the original version of this at Zara, i was so close to getting it! But the hefty price tag of $299 held me back. Thank god i made that decision cos we now have our version at less than a fraction of that cost! :p

It took us quite a long while to get this manufactured due to the nitty gritty details such as the quilted details at the back and those zips on the front. Most suppliers did not or were not willing to manufacture for us mainly cos of these. With the quantity we needed, they felt it was too much work and not worth their time as well. Comparing SG customers to overseas ones like China, HK and even european countries, SG is actually one of the smallest country in the manufacturing industry. We persisted and continued to search for suppliers who were willing to get it done for us, and viola, this is what we have got now! :)) It has been 6 months since i first set my eyes on this, but hey i'm still loving it every single bit of it!

Top: Plaids Shirt, upcoming on TCL
Boots: H&M

Brought this along during my recent trip to Europe. The faux leather fabric blocks out the wind, and it has been extremely handy in keeping me warm! Black is also a color that goes well with practically any other colors, hence it was easy for me to layer it with my tops. :)

Spot those details below.
They may seem minute but these details are what makes this jacket stand out in my opinion.
Threaded quilted details at the back and on collars.
Zipped details for that tough biker rock look.

The faux leather fabric used is of extreme high grade. Trust me on that, really.
I've came across leatherette jackets that feel light and thin; those will not last long nor will they keep you warm.

Top: Houndstooth Knit Pullover, Zara
Boots: H&M

Here at Borough Market when in London!

Top: Olive Knit Pullover, H&M
Pants: Denim Blue Jeans, Zara
Boots: H&M

If you're travelling to colder countries, you can use it as an outer piece with your knits. Anything above 12 degrees will be good in my opinion. Anything lower, do wear proper winter coats! I've also worn it in Singapore (more photos in a couple posts below) and it isn't that warm since we're not out all day! Especially when it's the monsoon season now, there's no better reason for us to get one!

This premium jacket comes in black or pink and is available in Xs - Xl, so i'm sure there's a size for everyone. For reference, i'm a Uk and wears size Xs! :) I kept both colors, but only brought the black to the trip due to baggage constraints and in all honesty, black is the easier color to go with most tops. One of the main thing i had to lookout while packing for the trip was jackets which will go well with my tops as a layering layer; hence this blackie came along with me! :)

The pink is extremely fashionable, cute and quirky in my opinion!
It exudes that fun factor so well. Though it may not be as easy to pair with as compared to the black, i've thought of many ways to style it too! It's a loud color on it's own, so you can pair it with basic colors like white or black! If not, go all out; loud x loud.
Try cobalt or lime, i think they work pretty well!
If you'd like a softer and girly look, try pastel shades.
I'm thinking soft lilac, pastel mint, pastel blue or even pastel yellow.

Have fun styling them!! :)
I hope this post helps and gives you more idea on styling it!
Sneaks are up on Facebook already, so hop by for previews!
Till then, get yours at 830pm 12/11, wokayyy!

Before i end this post, have you seen this?
Kindly done by Jiahui from Fable!
Heh thanks Jiahui if you're reading this!

This illustration is omg cute max, haha.
As i've been away, Bert has been handling TCL and i saw it on instagram just like you! And my first thought was, seriously so cuteeee!
It features our upcoming items in the launch, can you put the names to them?
Heh, i wonder how i will look like if i get him to do my look of the day. :p

Trio of Happiness! :)

Was clearing photos from the ex2f camera when i found these photos! :)
A random lunch date with Melody some time back.

I often get asked how i got to know her, or why are we so close?
I got to know Mel through doing advertorials for TCL, and among work related stuffs, we had occasional small talks. Somewhere along the way, we found so so many similarities in each other and we even share the same birth date! How coincidental is that seriously? It can get quite scary at times how identical our thoughts and tastes are, but this is also quite incredible.

So anyway, we decided to meet up and just at the first meet up, we talked for hours at a cafe. The boyf came to pick me up then and he was also amazed at how much we can talk despite it being the first meeting. I can talk about anything and everything with this her without holding back my deepest thoughts; this i call an affinity. She's a god sent gem and her friendship is a gift. <3

In you, i found a friend. Will never trade you and this bond for anything else in the world.
Love you hatch day sista! <3

Salon Vim
Visited my hair sponsor after i returned from Europe to touch up my hair.
The turquoise had faded into a green i didn't quite like, so i requested Fiona my stylist to have all highlights in purple! :)

I was in a rush that day and didn't have time to cover the greens, before applying the new colors, but it still turned out gorgeous! I've been with salon vim for 9 months now and Fiona never fails to deliver! :)

I hardly post selfies on the blog but here's a chain of them, hahaa.
Pardon this as i really wanna share the colors of my hair!
I also did the new Kerastase treatment which helps strengthen and moisturize the hair, best of both worlds and exactly what i needed! It's been almost a month since the treatment and my hair still feels soft and hydrated! :)

For those who're concerned on the bleaching procedure to obtain this colors, i've only bleached my hair twice in my 9 months with them. Once at my first visit to get the ash highlights, and second at my 2nd last trip where i got purple and turquoise highlights. Since the first bleach, i've been using the same bleached highlights for new colors, so it actually isn't that harmful on the hair! :)

The boyf also came along for his monthly hair cut!
Fiona gave him an extremely short cut since he hair grows out at an extremely fast rate! Is this the same for all guys i wonder?

Headed to Liang Seah Street for some errands and i finally tried Chong Qing Grilled Fish!
I have always seen how packed the restaurant in and have been wanting to try. Since it was lunch time, it wasn't as crowded as how it'd be at dinner, so we gave it a try! :)
For $30 you get a whole fish! You can opt for a larger one at $38.
You can choose the type of fish you prefer. There's the more common ones like sea bass and red snapper, as well as 1/2 others which i can't remember. Then you pick the flavor you want it cooked in; of each most were spicy base at different spice level. I think they are more popular for their spicy version, but i opted for the fermented black bean paste as i can't take too much spice. Lastly, you choose the sides you want in the fish! Sides are $3 i think and they had a huge variety. We chose the tofu! :)

It doesn't look much or photo worthy, but you are so wrong!
The fish was so fresh and tender i was taken aback honestly; wasn't expecting it. The sauce was also thick and came with a burst of flavors! I can only imagine how shiok the spicy one can be! Highly recommend a try if you haven't tried it yet!

Nail Art Box
I haven't shared this before, but one of my girlfriends, Ivy own a home based nail salon! She's been doing this for almost a year now and i recently got her to do my nails cos the retail salons can't do it.

Gorgeous gorgeous foil nail art!
I super love the rich and vibrant colors on a black base, and this design is definitely unique and something that's not easily seen! :)

Retail salons don't provide or can't do this as they do not have the nail foil needed to achieve this.
Gorgeous right? :p

See how outstanding they are? Heh.

I visited her just a few days back as the nails had grown out. I'm a sucker for nail art and can never stand bare nails, or unsightly nails, so i get my nails done every 3 weeks or so! :)
You can see how much i love the foil nail and Ivy included it in this new set as well! :p I don't think i'll get sick of foil nails anytime soon. In fact i've already planned the next design (which is also a foil one!) and waiting for the charms Ivy ordered for me to arrive!

If you're interested to get your nails done, do contact Ivy.

Hurhurr.
We're heading for Dim Sum breakfast and Disneyland thereafter, can't wait! I can smell my awesome Sunday already! Be back again soon! :)
